I'm definitely a Disney guy, but each time we go to Orlando, we always spend a few days at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure as well. My family loves both parks, and I think they are very well done. While I could spend my entire vacation in the Magic Kingdom, the rest of my family encourages me to branch out :) I don't find the same level of magic there, but I believe the parks try very hard to create a good park experience (well, there was that lady in the parking booth that screamed at us at the top of her lungs, but that's beside the point! :)
With that said, I am amazingly excited about the new addition coming to Islands of Adventure in 2010. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter looks fantastic, and is a great theme idea for a new 'land'. Everything I've seen about it looks top-notch and I know Harry Potter fans around the world are counting down the days until it opens.
I found a great construction update on YouTube, by the great folks at ParkSleuth.com. It is from April, so it is pretty current. I got a kick out of the annotations on the video. ParkSleuth does some great updates, and is definitely worth bookmarking or subscribing to the RSS feed.
Anyway, here is the video - where you can actually start to see some of the buildings in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Enjoy!
NOW that you've seen the video, head on over to WizardingWorldHarryPotter.com and click 'updates' to see some of the latest photos.

Very excited for this. With dueling dragons and HP, I doubt I'll go anywhere else in the park!
