I am just so excited for my next visit to Orlando. For months, Disney fans have been awaiting the opening of a new full service Pan-Asian restaurant called Yak and Yeti. Yak and Yeti opened a few weeks ago in Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, in the Anandapur section, and I couldn't be more excited to give it a try. One of the things that I hear people complain about with the Disney parks is the food, but I really think that a lot of those people think the culinary highlights of the parks is simply chicken fingers and cheeseburgers. There is a lot more to dining at Walt Disney World than the standard quick service fare. Many people consider the dining at Walt Disney World to be one of the major components in making their trip special. From what I've heard, Yak and Yeti (operated by Landry's Restaurants) will fit the mold very well, and will come to be quite popular. It has great theming, and the reviews have been decent. There is also an adjacent quick service counter, as well as a gift shop that will sell specialty items such as sushi items and teapots.
The Yak & Yeti will begin taking Advance Dining Reservations on December 3 for guests arriving January 4, 2008 and later. Between now and 1/4/08, they will accept walk ups only, according to WDWinfo.
HOURS:
10:00am - 3:45pm - Lunch
4:00pm - Park Closing - Dinner
There are a few sites that have listed their new menu - looks pretty good to me.
