Video:The Muppets Recieve Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

DisneyApprentice here again to share all the latest Disney news. The same day that Disney’s hit new movie the Muppets hits theaters it’s stars receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Muppets were given a star yesterday morning in front of Disney’s theater the El Capitan. The Muppets Star was the 2,466th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The celebration was run by Chamber President and CEO Leron Gubler, with special guest speakers Rich Ross, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios and Lisa Henson, CEO, The Jim Henson Company.  A few Muppets were on hand to receive the star including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal, Pepe, Sweetums, and Walter, the newest Muppet.

“Thanks to creative genius Jim Henson and these extraordinary puppeteers, the Muppets are truly worldwide icons and Hollywood stars,” said Ross. “They are a treasured part of the Disney family, and we’re thrilled to see them join so many other luminaries on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

45th Anniversary of Pirates of the Caribean

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Pirates Life for Me. Those lines have echoed the halls of the Pirates of the Carribean for over 45 years. Pirates of the Carribean turns 45 this Sunday, the 18th. The attraction opened to enormous guest response on 1967.

Since the attraction’s opening movies, and replicas of the ride have been created by the Walt Disney Imagineers all over the world in every Magic Kingdom park except Hong Kong Disneyland.

Goofy's Paint 'n' Play House Announced for Tokyo Disneyland

Goofy needs a little help redecorating, or so the back story for this new experience says. Set to open Aug. 24, this Tokyo Disneyland attraction will let guests help Goofy will allow guests to help Goofy decorate his house in "a unique and colorful fashion." Groups of guests will work together to “paint” the room using special paint applicators called "Toontone Splat Masters."

The attraction will have different rooms including beach, jungle, and other themes, as well as different "Toontone Splat Masters."

The Muppets Will Recieve a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The infamous band of misfits that is led by Kermit the Frog is receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of fame. It just so happens that they will be receiving the star the day that the new Muppet Movie will be released on DVD what a coincidence, I think not. Disney and their amazing Muppet marketers strike again.

The Muppets will receive their star on March 20, 2012 at The El Capitan Theatre, beginning at 11:30a.m.

The Muppets will receive this long deserved star because of their special type of comedy, that only the Muppets can pull off.  Disney Studios head Rich Ross and Jim Henson Company CEO Lisa Henson will be intendance.

New Avengers Poster and Trailer

Disney released a new Avengers trailer and poster today, as we are just 2 months away from the premiere. The movie has really crept up on us, but it is almost here.

In the new trailer we feel the presence of the aliens that are invading earth. All the actors give great performances, but as always Robert Downey Jr. is the best. The movie comes out in theaters May 4th, after this trailer I will be there.

Disney Cruise Line Diaries

Once again this is the DisneyApprentice from Disneydose.com to share the latest news. 

There has been lots of hype around the new cruise ship the Disney Fantasy, to keep that hype alive Disney has created a video diaries series that is being filmed as the ship crosses the Atlantic Ocean.

The first video was shot welcoming everyone aboard, and introducing everyone to our captains Ray and Brent.

The trip across the Atlantic began Feb. 16, 2012 at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, where the Fantasy was built. After being handed over to Disney, the ship began to cross the ocean, scheduled to arrive in New York at the end of February, just in time for her christening on March 1.

In addition to staying updated via these video diaries, visitors to DisneyCruise.com cantrack the progress of the Disney Fantasy using an interactive map.
